Estoy limpiando mi escritorio. En un documento de texto antiguo en el que meto borradores y chorradas que encuentro en internet, me topé con esto, probablemente sacado de algun thread de 4chan, antes de que me desintoxicara (es una larga historia).
(El siguiente texto pertenece a quien sea que lo escribió. A veces hecho de menos 4chan.)

to understand human progression you have to understand media, which is a projection of the group human mind and a measuring level of our progress and faults.
its not the invention, but the mechanics of the society around it that dictate if the invention will be correctly absorbed into the mechanics as to amplify humamity.
you cant stick a C.D in a tape player.
you cant stcik a next step invention into our current societies mechanics.
our society runs on oil like its blood. society will turn on a new invention that will power cars better like antibodies to a virus, and so with most next step inventions.
something media based needs to happen first, something has to widen the understanding of the collective. the internet and mobile phones have increased the power and mobility of media and basically made humanity psychic in a mechanical way. what has to happen next is an amplification of the content quality so that understanding of important issues is commonplace in the population instead of fucking fictional bullshit t.v dramas and dancing/singing programs. this has actually already happened in a reasonable way because of the internet.

Representa que el tema no es la tecnología, si no tu mentalidad al abordarla.

A menudo siento que la labor de hacer vídeos, o música, o escribir, o todo esto que llaman arte y que probablemente no es ciencia, es absurdo e inútil. Y supongo que en gran parte de lo que llaman producción cultural lo es. No solo inútil sino nociva.Este tipo de ideas me dan ánimos para revalorizar mi trabajo bajo una nueva perspectiva. No la del "soy artista, voy a hacer lo que me salga de los huevos justificándolo bajo esta etiqueta".
En vez de eso, me ayuda pensar que cada obra (igual que cada palabra y gesto y pensamiento) tiene una repercusión en las personas y el entorno que reverbera a través del tiempo, y que por eso es importante no crear para el ego, si no hacer algo en lo que uno crea, cuya cicatriz en la historia sea positiva y embellecedora, estimulante.
